Who Loves Baby?

A couple of Baby updates...

1. Hand-Eye Coordination. Besnik has recently achieved amazing hand control! Just a week ago he was still getting frustrated with himself when his hands wouldn't do exactly what he wanted them to do. He would be honing in on a toy, be SOOO close, and then his hand would jerk in the opposite direction. With a furrowed brow, he would start grunting -- and go back for the toy again and again until he finally hit on it. Now, his aim and control is much better and he hasn't gotten frustrated with himself in a few days - instead he looks around proudly and immediately tries to shove said toy into his mouth. It is very cute (and dangerous as he frequently grabs at coffee cups, beagles and forks.)

2. Friends. After a long drive back from MA, we discovered that the heat in our apartment had stopped working at some point during the week -- you could see your breath and the thermostat couldn't even read the temperature. Luckily, our landlords came home soon after we did and they let us stay in their house while the apartment heated up. Besnik had the time of his life with their two little boys! When he saw their two-year-old up close, he laughed histerically for a full minute -- the longest stretch yet! Then he played with their 8-month-old and seemed very impressed with the bigger baby's movement and abilities. Besnik was squirming to get on the floor and sit up with his friends but had to settle for sitting in Mom's lap on the floor.

3. Who loves Baby? We need photos for this baby book (as seen below.) If you love baby, please take a picture of yourself and submit a digital copy to ktochka@gmail.com. We will then print it out and put it in the baby book for Besnik to enjoy. Make sure it's a close-up of your face (or a couple faces if you live with other people who love Baby) -- that will really impress the small man!
