Snow!

We have heard a lot of "oh, this is just Long Island in the winter!" comments over the last few weeks... but we have lived on Long Island in the winter before -- and we don't even remember shoveling a couple of inches... nevermind all of this! So, perhaps Long Islanders are just prone to lying -- that would not surprise me one bit.

Anyway, Besnik is still very impressed with snow. His favorite snow activities include sitting in a pile until his whole body goes numb (see below), riding on the shovel like a sled, "throwing" snowballs at Mama, ice skating, and helping Babi shovel. It should be noted that, if one finds oneself with just one shovel and Besnik, one will NOT be allowed to do any shoveling... instead, Besnik will push the shovel like a snow plow, thus packing down all of the snow that you wish to remove.

And, the only way to get Besnik out of the snow is to lift him up and out, like this... dangerous, yes, but necessary...
