2010 In Review

2010 was another big year for Besnik! He's achieved new milestones, added inches and pounds... B continues to amaze and entertain us every day, especially now that he is talking a mile a minute. He prefers to know the who, what, where, when and how about EVERYTHING, and does not hesitate to ask if he feels he missed even a minor detail. We looked over the blog posts today and decided on the best moments of 2010. Enjoy, here are the top ten Besnik activities and events of the past year!

Cooking and Baking! We've been baking up a storm recently, but it started at the end of last year. B is now an expert in the kitchen, with not one, but two, aprons, and a full set of wooden fruits and vegetables. Just last night he prepared an elaborate "soup" of eggs, watermelon, peppers, bread, and peanut butter. (And here.)

Playing with the Guys! Besnik now has a good group of stuffed animals he calls his "babies," or "the guys." There are now seven guys, including Tigger, Snowbear, Poncey, Kuci, Kokoshka, Llambi, and Wocky...whew.

Traveling! In 2009, Besnik got his passport,and since then he has been moving all over! He especially enjoyed our trip to England, where we took just about every kind of transport they offered us...

Papa's Visit! When Papa came to visit us in March, it was all Besnik wanted to talk about for a month before and after...we had a great time showing Papa the sites and sounds of Albania!

Scholarship! It has been hard for Nick to live up to the scholarly standards set by Besnik over the past year... (Here, too.)

First time trick-or-treating!! Wildly successful, even if someone who saw B's costume asked (during the costumed dog parade) if he was supposed to be Michael Vick...

Drawing and writing songs! B has been prolific, too. He received an easel for his birthday, and has been singing and drawing up a storm this whole year...

Baby mohawk! Look out, Brangelina babies!

Easter! (Besnik's personal favorite post of the year): Colored eggs, smashing, rabbits! Besnik loved our first Easter celebration. Truly, He is risen.

99% percentile in roundness: All the baking has come with a price. Excessive chubbiness and aggressiveness around food.
