snow falls on the island

2 shovels + 1 pail + leaves + rocks + 1 Toyota Prius + 1/3 inch of snow = infinite fun!

Snow is falling in Port Jeff! We were very excited to see a dusting when we woke up and even more excited when it kept falling! After a couple of "snow dances" around the living room, Besnik decided it was time to head outside. We don't think Besnik remembers the little bit of snow he saw last year (it didn't stick and we only got to see it fall for a short time.) He says he does, of course, know all about snow. He even cites a variety of literature in which he has read about snow.

Once he got outside, Besnik was a bit surprised by both the temperature and consistency of the snow. The initially refused mittens were put on after the little hands got wet and cold. Here are some pictures of our outing...

Cleaning off the Prius... Besnik is always looking out for Uncle Ed (our landlord), so I shouldn't have been surprised when he insisted on clearing away some of this snow. He also looks out for Biloxie (Ed's cat) by leaving "pancakes and bubble water" outside for him. Today, Besnik decided that it was too cold to leave out the "food", so he is saving it for another day.
