The Salute vs. The Hand Kiss...

Besnik is an expert at saying goodbye and/or mirupafshim now. He had been saying “bah-bai” for a few months but would always say it after we had left the person to whom we wanted him to say it. These last weeks, though, he reliably says bye (or something resembling “pafshim”) when he leaves someone. He recently discovered how to blow kisses and how to give a sort of hand raise/salute. He somehow picked up very quickly that he should blow kisses to women and give the salute to men. Naturally, the women folk are very pleased to be the subject of B's “kisses”, but surprisingly, the men folk are going WILD over this wave business. B walks around downstairs and gives the other men the wave as he passes them. It is HYSTERICAL.
