Trick or Treating in Port Jefferson

Today was Port Jefferson Village's Harvest Fest, so Besnik got to try out his costume for some trick-or-treating down the port! He requested a "ballgame" costume, which he is now calling "ballgame elmo" (we are not sure where Elmo fits in here...). Here he is with Mama, taking a short break and playing with a balloon that a surly LI witch gave him.

There was also kind of a strange "ye olde farm equipment" show. Several different mechanical things (one said it was a 1907 egg boiler, and was about the size of the minivan--don't think we got a picture, though). Here we are inspecting a tractor, or what Besnik now calls "pigride" (because tractors pull hayrides, and B calls hayrides "piggie-rides"...).

So many choices! Hard to decide! Most of the stores down in the village had candy for trick-or-treaters, but Besnik (a couple of times) had difficulty deciding what he wanted.

Here B is clapping for the music--there were a bunch of groups playing. We have some dancing pics for a second post.

The aftermath: at home, pants off, eating M&Ms. We are just biding our time until he goes to sleep so we can eat all the chocolate...because it is not healthy for babies, of course.
