Anthropologist baby
The [Manus] children are perfectly trained to take care of themselves; any sense of physical insufficiency is guarded against. They are given their own canoes, paddles, swings, bows and arrows. They are regimented into no age groups, made to submit to no categories of appropriate age or sex behaviour. No house is denied to them. They frolic about under foot, in the midst of the most important ceremonies. And they are treated as lords of the universe; their parents appear to them as willing, patient slaves. And no lord has ever taken a great interest in the tiresome occupations of slaves.

Makes sense. If you recall, I gave you a real key hole saw when you were two. Joe and I were just discussing getting a gun for Besnik... a hand gun to start with. We didn't think he was ready for the weight and size of a rifle but correct us if we are wrong.

You know, when I read that, I thought you were commenting about us giving him that book, not the quote. Now I understand, though...anyways, get him this: http://www.theonion.com/content/video/new_babysafe_ball_makes_shaking
Ok, I couldn't watch that... even though I knew it was the Onion. And I was not making that up about the hand gun discussion that Joe and I had this very day. But of course that won't surprise you. : ) ox z
