mmmm... food!
We were very excited to have access to some of our favorite foods that, though not British, are much more readily available in England than in Albania. We filled up on falafel, hummus and curries. We also indulged in countless jelly donuts (apparently quite popular in the UK) and tried lots of different chocolates that reminded us of the Canadian chocolate Sarah brings back for us. We ordered fish&chips one night and were surprised (pleasantly!) by the size of the serving and the soaking of the chips in salt and vinegar. We had NO idea that Salt&Vinegar potato chips weren't just a crazy Lay's invention :)
Here is a picture of Besnik warming up at a little tea house we stopped at in London.
sweeeeets, galore...
and, a picture of me and B with the "Sausage Sharer" we enjoyed on our last night in the UK...
oh, and we happened upon this large snake at feeding time. If you zoom in, you can see him enjoying a rather large entree. There was a huge crowd of people wanting to watch this...

And they sell that vinegar in the grocery stores here... learned that from some Irish friends... Yummy! I'm not sure I'd cross the pond for Big Ben but I definitely would for that pastry case!!! B looks like he really enjoyed himself there... Mama too!
