On the Move...

Here are some pictures of the man on the move! We thought we knew what "protest cries" were -- Besnik had this sort of low groan that alerted us when he was not happy. But, then he discovered the strength of his own legs and, naturally, wants to practice all the time. Now we have experienced protest cries like you can't believe! These are screams, complete with crocodile tears that disappear immediately when he is returned to the walking position. It's really great fun -- especially if you already have a bad back...

In the first picture, Besnik is in the one position that seems to be acceptable while not entirely upright. He is not interested in crawling but, if propped in this position on the step, he will hold on and enjoys keeping himself up for a few minutes at least. The gate is not up for him -- that is to keep the wild beagle away from the food preparation zone. Though, we fear that we will have the gate up for Besnik all too soon! In the second picture, Besnik is in his walking position. He prefers to have the assistant stand behind him like so -- if you stand in front of him he tries to walk backwards. He moves really well for such a little man and needs the assistant mostly for balance. He gets around the house pretty fast and likes to try to outrun Molly. He also steps down the small step (see above) and then tries to jump down the big one like Molly does. He can go up the small step as well.
