Pond Wedding
Here are two pics from the Teta (Aunt) Helen's wedding last month.

In this first one, you can see the Child in his sack with Father right after the pond-front ceremony. A few things of note:
- Father's pants are far too tight--they had accidentally gone through the wash and shrunk.
- Besnik was quiet, pleasant, and calm throughout the entire ceremony. Here he is with a post-ceremony mouth-pinkie for placation's sake.
- Look at the expression on Teta Annie's face! Always a bridesmaid...
- What on earth are the Bride and Gam in such deep conversation about?
- Father sewed Mother's dress (and 4 of 5 wedding attendees "strongly agreed" that it was more beautiful than the wedding gown).

Here is a detail of the pinkie placation system (PPS). Note the concentration required on the part of the giver, and the calm elegance of the receiver. You might not believe it, but this pic wasn't a candid--we are intentionally posing with these expressions.

This photo is actually extensively doctored so as to alter the much older original. Note the pious expression on man and child. I recall a flyer for a certain esoteric community with this very image I was given some time ago in northern Montana.
Man, pious is the only word for those expressions. Well, sublime, arresting, beatific--those words come to mind, too.
